Set apart.

Not a second
Or another minute
Not an hour
Or another day
But at this moment with my arms outstretched
I need you to make a way
As you’ve done so many times before
Through a window or an open door
I stretch my hands to you
Come rescue me
I need you…Right away
I need you now
I need you now
I need you now
I need you now.....

Two Sundays ago I was told by an evangelist that she and I are the same. How so I asked? She said that god's sets us apart from others and that its an area to stay in. This exact "area" is a place that i have actually been in for my entire life. Never have I fit in. Never have I been apart of. I never really belonged to any social groups.

However I have always been able to blend well. It has always been pretty easy when I come into places that a mood or impression is changed.

It took time for me to notice ,but this was really Jesus on the very inside of me the whole time.I assumed it was my style, my uniqueness, my swagger that allowed me to instantly establish a great rapport(a commonality of perspective, being in "sync", being on the same "wavelength" as the person with whom you are talking.). It's a gift that i have always possessed even as a child.

But this rapport allows me to meet on a level with others but not to too many to who relate to mine.

The reason being is that i have always have endured isolation. Due to my life circumstances and situations. However this isolation created in me the significance of self awareness and self assessions, which gave me a motivation to strengthen my tenacity.

It's throws me for a loop the way that God has brought me through and to many situations to bring me to a point to finally realize this. I was set apart and molded like clay by the potter who has shaped my view of the world and not to be only in it but to affect it.

This really is only an iota of the many realizations i have had......

Im in!

I got a part in the Fall production !! The title is "Picasso at the Lapin Agile"

Well the first week went well. CSUB is finally looking like a real campus with an influx of new freshman's. For me i have just been walking in out of classes trying to find myself a seat and I'm taking some really dope classes in my opinion. The most memorable things about this week were the many intellectual conversations i had with several of my peers about race, religion, and politics(you can say the usual). I haven't really been on my posts this week the reason being because I'm back on my grind with school and work. I have to be completely honest I came back they're has been a few changes from peoples personalities. It's cool because they're them and I'm me.

Im really loving what God is putting before me.

So Let me tell you what happened today.

Well today was a crazy interesting day! This morning I woke up in my dorm room around like 7:30 because i wanted to get something in my stomach before I went to my first class. So after reading my daily devotional my cell phone rings and I get this message from the residential office director. The message was saying that i was chosen to get my own single room in the dorms!!!!!!! YESSSSS I Finally have my own space to call my own. I have to thank God first because i took a big step of faith to get this room and he supplied! So right now the I'm in the new room and its a work in progress ,but trust it will be in full swing real soon with some stuff on the walls Hahhahaah!
I also auditioned for the school play today so will see how that goes too.

Country Boy

For the Boyd family vacation we went to Savannah Georgia to visit family we don't normally hear from. This set of photos is from the home of my Great Great Uncle Ervin who is 84 and is a deacon at Athens Holiness Church in Pembrook. They sure know how to cook some Soul Food! Chicken with all the trimmings.

P.s Kool aid too LOL

So, today after getting off the Metro 757 listening to my ipod I pat down my pockets and notice that I left my wallet on the bus!Words couldn't express how mad, bad, angry I was feeling and they'were wasnt any one else to blame but myself. So after immediately storming home i call my bank to end my cards.

Time to institute some patience and diligence!!!

I then later find out that my wallet was in one of the crevices of my messenger bag.

Im so relieved!
